Target Nintendo
Target trusted our agency to develop Pre Sale concepts to pitch to vendors. These could include brand pages on Target.com, banner ads, social campaigns, in-store experiences and much more. Pre Sale pitches were used either to showcase new capabilities and services to long time partners or to attract new vendors who hadnt previously advertised with Target. In this case, Nintendo approached Target saying they had an advertising budget for the final quarter of their fiscal year, to spend primarily with one retailer. We showed why Target should be that retailer. Whereas, not all the ideas shown below fit within their budget, Nintendo was so impressed with the ideas we presented that it spurned an extensive ongoing partnership with Target. Annually, this partnership produces dozens of brand pages, hundreds of banners ads and a multitude of game launch campaigns.

Projection mapping transforms a Target aisle into a Nintendo coin-collecting adventure: coins are projected on the floor throughout the store. You walk “through” a coin and hear a chime as your coin disappears. In a prominent place in the store, participating stores showcase a leaderboard counting how many coins have been collected” within that location. To further augment the idea, participating stores join in a playful competition with the potential for top-stores to host a very special Nintendo event.
